Cologne, 13th of November – SNIPES ends an incredible SOUNDBOOTH season with a blast! It all began with the opening of the first French physical SNIPES booth in Paris in July, peaked during numerous festival appearances this summer, where hundreds of people spitted bars in our festival booths for an exclusive SOUNDBOOTH piece and now, the movement sets off for the last big bang in 2023.
4 rappers from 4 european countries meet on a beat from a talented producer duo to create a pan-european banger – everyone knows what time it is when this happens:
THE SNIPES SOUNDBOOTH BEATS2BARS CHALLENGE IS BACK!
SNIPES provides a stage for every upcoming talent in Europe and everyone, literally EVERYONE can participate. It all started with the beats phase, where we partnered with SPLICE and used their discord channel to source the best beat. In an epic listening session producer duo Consiglious’ beat was chosen as the winner.
Now, the rappers get their shot through our hand-picked Beats2Bars artists and hosts Villa Banks, Azet, Kaydy Cain, and Landy just dropped a video on their TikTok accounts in which the winners beat plays. The SNIPES community has the chance to use the “duet” function, kick a verse to one of the rappers’ videos and upload it on his or her channel. Now, the young guns just have to add the hashtag #snipessoundbooth2023 to their video caption and that’s it. They are in! Couldn’t be easier, huh?
As the icing on the cake, SNIPES goes global for the very first time. As well as Paris, the USA has their own physical booth since last summer and with the SNIPES Chief Creative Officer DJ Khaled the most qualified staff in the world to support the SOUNDBOOTH journey. Khaled is not only representing the journey but will also support some artists who decide to record straight from the booth in his “living room”: the We the Best x SNIPES Store in Miami.
The effort is totally worth it: in every country will be one well-deserved winner who wins a spot on the winner’s cypher track including a writing and recording session in Studio44 in Berlin, as well as a video shoot. Cherry on the top is a 5.000€ rap scholarship for every winner, which can be used to support the winner’s development as an artist. The contest runs from the 13th of November to the 03rd of December.
